MOVE is an EU co-funded project under the Erasmus Capacity Building for Higher Education programme, aimed at improving graduate employability in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and Yemen by aligning higher education with labour market needs. Running for 36 months, from 2 February 2026 to 1 February 2029, the project responds to the growing mismatch between university education and private sector expectations, particularly the lack of practical, technical, transversal, entrepreneurial, and green skills among graduates.
MOVE seeks to modernize selected academic programmes in agricultural and environmental fields across partner universities, strengthening institutional capacity and promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development. Through enhanced collaboration between universities, industry, government, and society, based on a triple helix approach, the project supports more responsive higher education systems and contributes to local and global development needs.
By fostering academia-industry cooperation, international collaboration, innovation networks, and sustainable education, MOVE contributes to improving the quality and relevance of higher education, supporting economic and social development, and advancing SDGs 4, 16, and 17.
