University of Aden
Main topic: Training planning
Online, October 16, 2025 – The YHELD project consortium held its monthly meeting for October remotely. The meeting brought together all project partners, who coordinated administrative matters, clarified open issues, and agreed on the next steps for implementing the training sessions.

Key achievements and progress
During the discussion, the partners demonstrated a high level of cooperation and willingness to continue the project effectively.
•    Preparation of training sessions: Cairo University has confirmed that it will host the training. Due to the limited availability of trainers and pending approval of the partnership agreement, November 24 and the first week of December were proposed as the most suitable dates. The training will last four days and will be aimed at strengthening the partners' competencies and more effective implementation of project activities.

Looking ahead
The partners have confirmed their commitment to implementing the planned activities. In the coming period, the main tasks will focus on:
•    confirming the availability of trainers and finalizing the training dates,
•    completing the communication table, which will strengthen the visibility and promotion of the project,
•    limiting the number of meetings until the training is implemented so that partners can focus on preparation and coordination.

The October monthly meeting confirmed the strong cooperation and coordination of the YHELD project partners. With the process of preparations for the training in progress, the consortium remains focused on the timely and successful implementation of the project objectives by the end of the project period.

The YHELD project aims to develop higher education in Yemen in eight Yemeni universities, and the University of Aden is one of these universities participating through the university’s International Relations Office. This includes training courses on teaching, learning, internationalization, and governance, with the participation of a number of academic and administrative professors from the participating Yemeni universities.
